World’s Longest Drift in a 2010 Ford Mustang GT

4,137 feet, that was the world’s longest drift but it’s just aint enough for the record setter, Vaughn Gittin Jr. He is not attempting to break it. Travelling together with 0-60 Mag, across the United States in a 2010 Ford Mustang GT, Gittin believe he could surpass the previous record and went on seeing how ling his set of Falken Azenis ST-155 tires could last. As what he believes in, just after his tyre ran out of thread, he recorded 6,285 feet or 1.19 miles. Way to go Gittin!

Both drivers knew each other, both in the same team, both same car make, and both made it to the top 10 drift Crash. In Japan Fuji Speedway, Kawabata vs Saito in a sudden death where Saito straightened during a high speed drift ending right in Kawabata’s path; while somewhere closer to home see D-Wan initiate too early and too close to the wall resulting a huge crash.

A1 Team Malaysia was surprised and disappointed to read the comments of Adam Carroll and A1 Team Ireland management after Sunday’s A1GP, Kyalami, South Africa. Both the driver and Team Principal of one of Malaysia’s rival nations in the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport claimed that the team were to blame for the loss of their championship lead following contact between Malaysia’s Fairuz Fauzy and Ireland’s Carroll.

Lone Point Salvaged From Difficult Weekend in South Africa

A1 Team Malaysia salvaged a lone World Cup of Motorsport point for taking the fastest lap at the Kyalami circuit in South Africa today, in the fifth round of the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport. A ninth place finish in the Sprint race and a 15th place in the Feature race were the fruits of a difficult weekend for the Malaysian team.
